  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CCR5 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 3-30 (Y3QVSSPIYDINYYTSEPCQKINVKQIAA30) of the C-terminal domain of human CCR5 (C-C chemokine receptor 5). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human (100%); Chimpanzee, Monkey (96%); Orangutan, Baboon (93%); Gorilla (89%).
Recognizes human CCR5.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2386 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2386 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.

PBS, 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.1% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) aliquot and store at -20C; Short term:+4C

CCR5 is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. This protein is expressed by T cells and macrophages, and is known to be an important co-receptor for macrophage-tropic virus, including HIV, to enter host cells. Defective alleles of this gene have been associated with the HIV infection resistance.
