Specificity and Use
CASP3 / Caspase 3 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to the sequence of human Capase-3 (YSWRNS).
Reacts specifically with JNK. The antibody was evaluated by western blot, dot blot and ELISA. By western blot, an immunoreactive band around 12 kD was observed in the NIH/3T3 and Jurkat whole cell lysate.

CASP3 / Caspase 3 is a protein which is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme.
