Specifications

Description
C4b-Binding Protein antibody LS-C147800 is an unconjugated sheep polyclonal antibody to human C4b-Binding Protein (C4BP). Validated for ID and IHC.

Human C4BP / C4b-Binding Protein
Host
Sheep
Reactivity
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)

Polyclonal
Conjugations
Unconjugated
Purification
Immunoaffinity absorbed
Modifications
Unmodified
Immunogen
Human C4 binding protein
Specificity
Human C4 Binding Protein. The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to C4 binding protein. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained and shows a reaction of full identity with the purified immunogen. Cross-reactivity The antiserum does not cross-react with any other human plasma proteins as tested in gel- diffusion techniques. Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to plasma proteins, since homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
Applications
  • IHC
  • IHC - Paraffin (1:200)
  • Immunodiffusion
Performing IHC? See our complete line of Immunohistochemistry Reagents including antigen retrieval solutions, blocking agents ABC Detection Kits and polymers, biotinylated secondary antibodies, substrates and more.
Usage
This product is intended for use in precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immunodiffusion (Mancini, Ouchterlony) to identify the presence of C4 binding protein or to determine its concentration. The presence of non-precipitating antibodies has not been assayed. This does not exclude the use of the antiserum in non-precipitating antibody-binding techniques if proper controls are included.
Presentation
Lyophilized antiserum
Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 1 ml sterile water.
Storage
Short term: store at 4°C for up to 1 week. Long term: store at -20°C regardless of reconstitution; aliquot to avoid freeze-thaw cycles after reconstitution.
Restrictions
For research use only. Intended for use by laboratory professionals.
