Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • Western blot (1 - 3 µg/ml)
  • ELISA (1:128000)

Specificity and Use

c-Kit / CD117 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide KRDSFICSKQEDH from an internal region of human c-Kit / CD117 (NP_000213.1; NP_001087241.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Ferret, Bovine, Bat, Goat, Panda, Rabbit, Horse, Pig (100%); Elephant, Guinea pig (92%); Hamster (85%); Mouse, Rat (77%).
aa685-697
Human c-Kit / CD117. This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_000213.1; NP_001087241.1).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:128000. Western blot: Approx 110kD band observed in Human Brain (Hippocampus) lysates (calculated MW of 110kD according to NP_000213.1). Recommended concentration: 1-3 ug/ml. An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 35kD. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Packaging

About c-Kit / CD117

P10721 NM_000222 NP_000213.1

KIT Antibody, C-Kit Antibody, CD117 Antibody, PBT Antibody, Piebald trait Antibody, Piebald trait protein Antibody, Proto-oncogene c-Kit Antibody, SCFR Antibody, Soluble KIT variant 1 Antibody, Tyrosine-protein kinase Kit Antibody, p145 c-kit Antibody, CD117 antigen Antibody

Tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as cell-surface receptor for the cytokine KITLG/SCF and plays an essential role in the regulation of cell survival and proliferation, hematopoiesis, stem cell maintenance, gametogenesis, mast cell development, migration and function, and in melanogenesis. In response to KITLG/SCF binding, KIT can activate several signaling pathways. Phosphorylates PIK3R1, PLCG1, SH2B2/APS and CBL.

Western blot

Western blot
KIT antibody (1 ug/ml) staining of Human Hippocampus lysate (35 ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
