  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

BLM antibody was raised against the epitope recognized maps to a region between residue 1375 and the C-terminus (residue 1416) of mouse Bloom Syndrome Homolog using the numbering given in entry NP_031576.2 (GeneID 12144).
Species cross-reactivity: This antibody cross-reacts with mouse. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with human BLM is expected owing to complete identity between this ortholog and mouse BLM at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.

Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7-8, 0.1% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.
For research use only.

About BLM

P54132 NM_000057 NP_000048.1

BLM Antibody, Bloom syndrome Antibody, Bloom syndrome protein Antibody, BS Antibody, Bloom's syndrome protein Antibody, DNA helicase, RecQ-like type 2 Antibody, RECQ2 Antibody, RECQL2 Antibody, RECQL3 Antibody, RecQ protein-like 3 Antibody

Participates in DNA replication and repair. Exhibits a magnesium-dependent ATP-dependent DNA-helicase activity that unwinds single- and double-stranded DNA in a 3'-5' direction. Involved in 5'-end resection of DNA during double-strand break (DSB) repair: unwinds DNA and recruits DNA2 which mediates the cleavage of 5'-ssDNA. Negatively regulates sister chromatid exchange (SCE).
