Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Beclin 1 is a coiled coil protein that interacts with prototypic cellular antiapoptotic gene Bcl2. Beclin 1 is widely expressed with highest levels reported in skeletal muscle. Three alternativaly spliced isoforms have been identified. Allelic deletion of beclin 1 results in a wide variety of cancers including breast cancer.
Fluorescent image of U251 cells stained with Beclin 1 antibody. U251 cells were treated with Chloroquine (50 mu M,16h), then fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min). Cells were then incubated Beclin 1 primary antibody (1:100, 2 h at room temperature). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:1000, 1h). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10 ug/ml, 5 min). Beclin1 immunoreactivity is localized to autophagic vacuoles in the cytoplasm of U251 cells.
Beclin 1 Antibody western blot of WiDr cell line lysates (35 ug/lane). The Beclin 1 antibody detected the Beclin 1 protein (arrow).
