  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Human serum Butyrylcholinesterase
Human BCHE / Butyrylcholinesterase. The reagents were evaluated for potency, purity and specificity using most or all of the following techniques: immunoelectrophoresis, cross-immunoelectrophoresis, single radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), block titration, ELISA, immunoblotting and enzyme inhibition. Cross-reactivity Cross-reactivities against enzymes of other sources may occur but have not been determined.
This product is intended for use in precipitating and non-precipitating antibody-binding assays (such as e. g., ELISA and Western blotting and immunofluorescence or histochemical techniques). The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

About BCHE / Cholinesterase

P06276 NM_000055 NP_000046.1

BCHE Antibody, Acylcholine acylhydrolase Antibody, Butyrylcholine esterase Antibody, Choline esterase II Antibody, CHE1 Antibody, Cholinesterase Antibody, Pseudocholinesterase Antibody, Butyrylcholinesterase Antibody, Cholinesterase 1 Antibody

Mutant alleles at the BCHE locus are responsible for suxamethonium sensitivity. Homozygous persons sustain prolonged apnea after administration of the muscle relaxant suxamethonium in connection with surgical anesthesia. The activity of pseudocholinesterase in the serum is low and its substrate behavior is atypical. In the absence of the relaxant, the homozygote is at no known disadvantage.
