Recognizes the human CD147 cell surface antigen, a 50-60kD glycoprotein also known as neurothelin and basigin. CD147 is broadly expressed on peripheral blood cells and by endothelial cells. Expression upon T cells is increased following activation.
Flow Cytometry: Neat. Use 10 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1E6 cells or 100 ul whole blood. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Seems to be a receptor for oligomannosidic glycans. In vitro, promotes outgrowth of astrocytic processes.
