BACH1 is a transcription factor that belongs to the cap'n'collar type of basic region leucine zipper factor family (CNC-bZip). The encoded protein contains broad complex, tramtrack, bric-a-brac/poxvirus and zinc finger (BTB/POZ) domains, which is atypical of CNC-bZip family members. These BTB/POZ domains facilitate protein-protein interactions and formation of homo- and/or hetero-oligomers.
BACH1 in Human Lung Cancer Tissue. BACH1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human lung cancer tissue using Human/Mouse BACH1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 10 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic. Tissue was stained using Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).
Detection of Human BACH1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line and A1 72 human glioblastoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.2 ug/ml of Human/Mouse BACH1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for BACH1 at approximately 110 kD (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.
