  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ARTN / Artemin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-NSTWRTVDRLS from an internal region of human ARTN / Artemin (NP_003967.2; NP_476501.1; NP_476431.2). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Marmoset, Bovine, Rabbit (100%); Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant (91%).
LS-E27452 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C139700. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Human ARTN / Artemin. This antibody is expected to recognize all reported isoforms (NP_003967.2; NP_476501.1; NP_476431.2). Reported variants represent identical protein: NP_476431.2, NP_001129687.1 Reported variants represent identical protein: NP_003967.2, NP_476432.2
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000. Western blot: Approx 28kD band observed in lysates of cell lines HEK293, HepG2 and Kelly (calculated MW of 22.9kD according to NP_003967.2). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Pandey et al, Endocrinology. 2010 Mar;151(3):909-20; PMID: 20118197). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3 ug/ml.

About ARTN / Artemin

Q5T4W7 NM_003976 NP_003967.2

ARTN Antibody, ENOVIN Antibody, EVN Antibody, Neurotrophic factor Antibody, Artemin Antibody, Neublastin Antibody

ARTN / Artemin is a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands which are a group of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling molecules. GDNFs are unique in having neurotrophic properties and have potential use for gene therapy in neurodegenerative disease. Artemin has been shown in culture to support the survival of a number of peripheral neuron populations and at least one population of dopaminergic CNS neurons.

Western blot

Western blot
ARTN antibody (0.1 ug/ml) staining of HEK293 lysate (35 ug protein/ml in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
