Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

About AREG / Amphiregulin

P15514 NM_001657 NP_001648.1

AREG Antibody, Amphiregulin Antibody, CRDGF Antibody, SDGF Antibody

AREG / Amphiregulin is a member of the epidermal growth factor family. It is an autocrine growth factor as well as a mitogen for astrocytes, Schwann cells and fibroblasts. It is related to epidermal growth factor (EGF) and transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha). The protein interacts with the EGF/TGF-alpha receptor to promote the growth of normal epithelial cells, and it inhibits the growth of certain aggressive carcinoma cell lines.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Amphiregulin MCF7 Human Cell Line. Amphiregulin was detected in immersion fixed MCF7 human breast cancer cell line using Human Amphiregulin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 10 ug/ml for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using NorthernLights 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (yellow) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).

Immunocytochemistry

Immunocytochemistry
Amphiregulin in MCF-7 Human Cell Line. Amphiregulin was detected in immersion fixed MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line using Human Amphiregulin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 10 ug/ml for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using NorthernLights 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (yellow) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).

Neutralization

Neutralization
Amphiregulin in Human Breast. Amphiregulin was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human breast using Human Amphiregulin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 15 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Tissue was stained using Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Lower panel shows a lack of labeling if primary antibodies are omitted and tissue is stained only with secondary antibody followed by incubation with detection reagents.
