Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • Western blot (1 - 10 µg/ml)
  • ELISA (0.5 - 1 µg/ml)

Specificity and Use

AQP7 / Aquaporin 7 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid synthetic peptide within the N-terminal domain of rat Aquaporin-7 (1) was selected for antibody production. This domain is predicted to be cytoplasmic.
N-Terminus
Species cross-reactivity: Rat. The peptide has 81% homology with the mouse Aquaporin-7 but species reactivity has not been tested. The peptide is unique to Aquaporin-7 without significant homology to any other Aquaporins.
Western blot: 1-10 ug/ml using Chemiluminescence technique ELISA: 0.5-1.0 ug/ml when tested against 1 ug/ml of the immunogen peptide. Immunohistochemistry: Not tested. We recommend using the affinity purified antibody at 2-10 ug/ml in paraformaldehyde fixed sections of tissues.

About AQP7 / Aquaporin 7

AQP7 Antibody, AQP7L Antibody, Aquaporin adipose Antibody, Aquaporin-7-like Antibody, AQP-7 Antibody, AQPap Antibody, Aquaporin-7 Antibody, Aquaglyceroporin-7 Antibody, GLYCQTL Antibody, Aquaporin 7 Antibody

Aquaporins/major intrinsic protein (MIP) are a family of water-selective membrane channels. Aquaporin 7 has greater sequence similarity with AQP3 and AQP9 and they may be a subfamily. Aquaporin 7 and AQP3 are at the same chromosomal location suggesting that 9p13 may be a site of an aquaporin cluster. Aquaporin 7 facilitates water, glycerol and urea transport. It may play an important role in sperm function.
