  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ADORA1 / Adenosine A1 Receptor antibody was raised against synthetic peptide 14aa sequence corresponding to rat A1R gene. This region corresponds to the 3rd extracellular domain, N-terminus. A cysteine has been added at the NH2 terminus for coupling to KLH.
Recognizes Adenosine A1 Receptor. Species cross-reactivity: Rat, porcine, lamb. Species sequence Homology: Mouse, canine, rabbit and human: 92%; bovine: 78%.
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1-10 ug/ml using Detects 79 and 39kD bands in cortical membranes from rat, pig, and lamb. The 79kD band can be converted to 39kD band by agonist or antagonist treatment and could represent a A1R dimers. A1R, photoaffinity labeled with 125I-R-AHPIA as 39kD band. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000 using 50-100 ng A1R control peptide/well.

100 mM Tris, pH 7.5, 0.2% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

ADORA1 / Adenosine A1 Receptor is an adenosine receptor that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. There are 3 types of adenosine receptors, each with a specific pattern of ligand binding and tissue distribution, and together they regulate a diverse set of physiologic functions. The type A1 receptors inhibit adenylyl cyclase, and play a role in the fertilization process. Animal studies also suggest a role for A1 receptors in kidney function and ethanol intoxication.
