Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ADIPOR2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide CSRTPEPDIRLRKGHQLDGTRRGDNDSHQG corresponding to amino acids 11-40 within the N-terminal region of human AdipoR2. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Marmoset, Ferret, Panda (100%); Orangutan, Gibbon (97%); Monkey, Dog, Guinea pig (93%); Cat (90%); Rabbit, Pig (87%); Galago, Hamster (83%); Rat, Elephant (80%).
aa11-40
Recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of Adiponectin Receptor protein 2 (AdipoR2), a transmembrane protein and member of the ADIPOR family, expressed mainly in the liver and skeletal muscle, which acts a receptor for both globular and full-length adiponectin. AdipoR2 acts as a mediator of fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake by adiponectin and increased AMPK, PPARalpha ligand activity, thereby playing an important role in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism, and in oxidative stress. Is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on acetone fixed cells.

About ADIPOR2

Q86V24 NM_024551 NP_078827.2

ADIPOR2 Antibody, ACDCR2 Antibody, Adiponectin receptor protein 2 Antibody, Adiponectin receptor 2 Antibody, PAQR2 Antibody

Receptor for globular and full-length adiponectin (APM1), an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that acts as an antidiabetic. Probably involved in metabolic pathways that regulate lipid metabolism such as fatty acid oxidation. Mediates increased AMPK, PPARA ligand activity, fatty acid oxidation and glucose uptake by adiponectin. Has some intermediate-affinity receptor activity for both globular and full-length adiponectin.
