  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ACTG1 / Gamma Actin antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of gamma actin.
Recognizes human gamma actin. Does detect gamma actin in the cytoplasm. Species cross-reactivity: Rat and mouse. Actin is very highly conserved. Expected to cross-react across species.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Western Blot: 1:250-1:1000. Immunocytochemistry: 1:250-1:1000. Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-1:1000.

Supplied as a liquid.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.
For research use only.

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton, and as mediators of internal cell motility.
