Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ABCB2 / TAP1 antibody was raised against tAP1 peptide corresponding to the C-terminal of the human protein conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH). ( C-TERMINAL ).
C-Terminus
Detects an epitope within the C-terminal region of human TAP1, also known as transporter associated with antigen processing 1. TAP1 is an 81kD membrane-associated protein which is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily and together with the homologous subunit TAP2 forms the functional TAP complex. TAP1 is involved in the transport of antigenic peptides from the cytosol into the endoplasmic reticulum, where they associate with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. These complexes are presented at the cell surface to T-lymphocytes, which identify and remove infected or malignantly transformed cells. AHP1248 does not cross react with TAP2.
Western Blot: LS-C42564 detects a band of approximately 72kD.

Involved in the transport of antigens from the cytoplasm to the endoplasmic reticulum for association with MHC class I molecules. Also acts as a molecular scaffold for the final stage of MHC class I folding, namely the binding of peptide. Nascent MHC class I molecules associate with TAP via tapasin. Inhibited by the covalent attachment of herpes simplex virus ICP47 protein, which blocks the peptide-binding site of TAP.
