  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ABCB1 / MDR1 / P Glycoprotein antibody was raised against mDR1.
Recognizes a conserved cytoplasmic epitope of the plasma membrane-associated 170-180kD glycoprotein human MDR1. The expression is strongly correlated with the degree of multi-drug-resistance (MDR) derived MDR cell lines and human MDR cell lines, including cell lines derived from lung, ovaries and B cell lymphomas. Species cross-reactivity: Chinese hamster. Does not cross-react with mouse or rat.
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry. Flow Cytometry: 1:10 Fix cells in 10% Lysing solution. Western Blot: 1:10. Immunocytochemistry: 1:20 for acetone-fixed cells. Immunohistochemistry: 1:20 for acetone-fixed frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues.

PBS, 1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months
For research use only.

The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance.
