  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ABCA7 antibody was raised against aBCA7 transfected HeLa cells.
Recognizes murine adenosine triphosphate (ATP) Binding cassette transporter 7 (ABCA7). The ABC transporters are a large family of conserved proteins that transport a wide variety of molecules across cellular membranes. ABCA7 is a member of the ABC-A sub-family, which is predominantly expressed in the thymus and in other immune and hematopoietic tissues. The exact physiological function of ABCA7 is unknown, although the molecule shows the highest homology to ABCA1 and may play a similar role in lipid homeostasis.
The applications listed have been tested for the base form of this product. Alternate forms, such as conjugated, azide-free, or ready-to-use, have not been tested.

About ABCA7

Q8IZY2 NM_019112 NP_061985.2

ABCA7 Antibody, ABCA-SSN Antibody, Autoantigen SS-N Antibody, ABCX Antibody, Macrophage ABC transporter Antibody

ABCA7 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily. Members of the ABC1 subfamily comprise the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes.
