A synthetic peptide aa 21-40, NQRRNPENGGRRYNRIQHGQ corresponding to a region near the N-Terminus of mouse angiopoietin 1 protein conjugated to KLH using maleimide. A residue of cysteine was added to the N-Terminus end to facilitate coupling. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Mouse, Elephant (100%); Rat, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Horse, Rabbit, Pig (95%); Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey (90%); Marmoset, Opossum (80%).

Recognizes mouse angiopoietin 1 at 75kD and shows no reactivity with angiopoietin 2 on mouse derived proteins. Species cross-reactivity: Human. Partial cross-reactivity is noted with human angiopoietin 2.
