Synthetic peptide: SGPSIVHALCP (human) attached to Multiple Antigen Peptide (MAP) backbone. Epitope: Monoclonal anti-Actin recognizes an epitope located on the C-Terminus end of actin. This epitope is conserved in all actin isoforms.
Specificity
The antibody does not react with the epitope on the N-terminal end of actin. Species cross-reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, bovine, Carp, Chicken, canine, Frog, Goat, Guinea pig, Hamster, Pig, Rabbit, Sheep, Snail and Viper.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot Dot Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:2000. Staining of cultured human or chicken fibroblasts. Western Blot: 1:500. Band at ~42kD. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Methanol-fixed sections. Zinc-formalin, B5, ethanol, methacarn, Brunnel's or Bouin's solution can be used as fixatives. Can also be used on frozen sections. Positive control: Human or chicken fibroblast extract.
