LS-B423 is a rabbit polyclonal antibody that LifeSpan has tested extensively in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and is an excellent antibody for use in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues. Multiple tissues were immunolabeled and the results were interpreted by a LifeSpan pathologist. This image shows an example of staining in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue. Learn more about our IHC Validation procedure. All LSBio antibodies are 100% guaranteed.

SMARCAL1 Feature Table

Feature Type Location Details
Disease 1 - 954 Defects in SMARCAL1 are a cause of Schimke immuno-osseous dysplasia (SIOD) [MIM:242900]. SIOD causes spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, renal dysfunction and T-cell immunodeficiency. Approximately half of all patients also exhibit hyperthyroidism, while around half also exhibit episodal cerebral ischema.
Function 1 - 954 ATP-dependent annealing helicase that catalyzes the rewinding of the stably unwound DNA. Rewinds single-stranded DNA bubbles that are stably bound by replication protein A (RPA). Acts throughout the genome to reanneal stably unwound DNA, performing the opposite reaction of many enzymes, such as helicases and polymerases, that unwind DNA.
sequence caution 1 - 954 Sequence=BAA90955.1; Type=Erroneous initiation;
Similarity 1 - 954 Belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. SMARCAL1 subfamily.
Similarity 1 - 954 Contains 1 helicase ATP-binding domain.
Similarity 1 - 954 Contains 1 helicase C-terminal domain.
Similarity 1 - 954 Contains 2 HARP domains.
Subcellular Location 1 - 954 Nucleus (By similarity).
Tissue Specificity 1 - 954 Ubiquitously expressed, with high levels in testis.
