Protein Localization Data
In addition to reagents and Contract Research Services, LifeSpan also offers
immediately available protein localization data for 100's of the industry’s
hottest targets. The LifeSpan
DrugTargetTM Database is the portal for accessing these
comprehensive expression and protein localization reports, individually or in
bulk, through annual subscriptions. Each Gene Report is a convenient resource
for accessing proprietary immunohistochemistry data across the normal and
diseased human body plus comprehensively curated expression data mined from
published sequences and abstracts for specific genes of interest.
Each protein studied within the Database is localized using immunohistochemistry
(IHC) technology, allowing for the correlation of expression with
histopathology and providing a level of detail that cannot be achieved by
high-throughput methods such as gene chips. The proprietary IHC data for each
gene includes profiles across as many as 70 normal and diseased human tissues,
localization summaries from Board-Certified Pathologists, and digital
photomicrographs of stained tissues.
