Localization Data for Comprehensive Families of Drug Targets
A full LifeSpan DrugTargetTM subscription provides the client with access to all proprietary immunohistochemistry and comprehensively curated informatics data contained within the database. Currently the database contains more than 700 individual immunohistochemistry reports for approximately 380 pharmaceutically important proteins within the G protein-coupled receptor, nuclear receptor, and kinase families. Each report reveals the proteins localization profile across the normal human body, including most peripheral tissues, the mapped brain, and more than 25 diseases of major therapeutic interest. The informatics data is comprehensive for more than 3,200 genes across 8 gene families of greatest interest to the pharmaceutical industry, including the GPCRs, ion channels, protein kinases, nuclear receptors, protein phosphatases, phosphodiesterases and proteases.
The database includes innovative tools that enable subscribers to rapidly locate information relevant to their own interests from both the public domain and LifeSpan’s proprietary localization studies. Criteria such as gene name, synonyms, sequences, cell-type, tissue-type, assays, expression results, and disease association can be used to sort, filter, and organize the data in a meaningful way. Subscribers find LifeSpan DrugTargetTM to be an invaluable asset to their drug-discovery programs.
Full DrugTarget Database Deliverables: LifeSpan provides access to all available proprietary immunohistochemistry reports and informatics data through a dynamic and intuitive online client interface.
Number of genes: Reports are currently available on 494 protein targets, including Cadherins, GPCRs, Ion Channels, NHR, Non-protein Kinases, Phosphodiesterases, Proteases, Protein Kinases, Protein Phosphatases, and WNTs.
Interface: Corporate wide access is provided to a secure on-line client interface hosted by LifeSpan.
Additional genes: Because LifeSpan DrugTargetTM is continually expanding with new immunohistochemistry reports, individual agreements may include access to new reports added to the database during the term of the agreement, and/or the addition of client selected targets to be studied and added to LifeSpan DrugTargetTM.
