Specificity and Use
| GLUT2 antibody was raised against human Glut2-transfected NS0 cells. | |
| Recognizes human GLUT 2 (Glucose Transporter, Insulin Regulatable) expression on hGlut2-transfected NS0 cells but not on control transfectants. Detects Glut2 on the surface of the human intestinal cell line Caco2 in flow cytometry and on fixed cells in immunocytochemistry tests. Based on flow cytometric tests on transfected cells, this antibody has no cross-reactivity with hGlut1 or hGlut3. | |
| Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2421 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2421 was determined to be 10 ug/ml. |
