Details

Human RORC / ROR Gamma
Rabbit
Human, Chimpanzee, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Dog (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Polyclonal
Immunoaffinity purified

Applications

IHC - Paraffin (10 µg/ml), Western blot (0.5 - 2 µg/ml)

Specificity and Use

RORC / ROR Gamma antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human RORC.
aa1-50
A portion of amino acids 1-50 of human ROR gamma. This antibody will detect ROR gamma and may detect ROR gamma T, but can not be used to distinguish between the two proteins.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1797 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1797 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.For Western blot approximately 30 ug of Jurkat cell extracts were loaded per lane.

Packaging

ROR Gamma (RORC), an NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like receptor, has been shown to affect thymopoiesis, bone metabolism, T-cell apoptosis, and lymphoid organogenesis. ROR gamma has been shown to promote thymocyte survival by activating the expression of the antiapoptotic protein Bcl-x(L). ROR gamma is also required for the development of lymph nodes and Peyer's patches.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Anti-ROR Gamma antibody IHC of human testis. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B1797 concentration 10 ug/ml.
