Applications

Western blot (0.5 - 4 µg/ml)

Specificity and Use

CASP7 / Caspase 7 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding the cleavage site of human caspase-7 large fragment.
The antibody detects the full length (35-37 kD) and the large fragment (20-25 kD) of processed caspase-7 by Western blotting. Mouse small intestine tissue lysate can be used as a positive control.

Packaging

PBS, pH 7.2, 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% Thimerosal.

Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases that can be divided into the apoptotic and inflammatory caspase subfamilies. Unlike the apoptotic caspases, members of the inflammatory subfamily are generally not involved in cell death but are associated with the immune response to microbial pathogens.
