AGTR1 antibody was produced in Chicken |
| Antigen Species: |
AGTR1 antibody was raised against Rat |
| Clonality: |
Polyclonal |
| Isotype: |
IgY |
| Antigen Type: |
Synthetic peptide |
| Immunogen: |
AGTR1 antibody was raised against a 10 amino acid peptide sequence mapping near the N-terminus of rat AT II (1). This peptide is predicted to be extracellular. The peptide was coupled with KLH (carrier protein) |
| Antibody Specificity: |
The 10 AA rat immunogenic peptide is 100% identical in mouse, rat, human, porcine and rabbit. The sequence is the same in all AT II receptor isoforms (Type 1a, 1b and 1c). It has no sequence homology with other G-protein coupled receptors. Actual cross-reactivity of antibodies in all species is not established.

Antibody Summary:
Angiotensin II mediates its action by interacting with membrane receptor, Angiotensin II type 1 receptors. The signal is transmitted via G-proteins that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. ATII receptors are integral membrane proteins of approx.359-363aa and predicted to contain at least 7 transmembrane domains. The N and C-terminus are predicted to extracellular and cytoplasmic, respectively. Three isoforms of ATII receptors have been cloned. In rat type 1a (359 aa) is expressed in the liver kidney, aorta, lung, uterus, ovary, spleen, heart, adrenal and vascular smooth muscles (1). Rat Type 1b (also known as AT3; 359 aa) is found in liver, kidney, and aorta (2). Type 1c (177 aa) has been detected in brain, kidney, liver, spleen and lung (3). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting. Other applications not tested. The 10 AA rat immunogenic peptide is 100% identical in mouse, rat, human, porcine and rabbit. The sequence is the same in all AT II receptor isoforms (Type 1a, 1b and 1c). It has no sequence homology with other G-protein coupled receptors. Actual crossreactivity of antibodies in all species is not established
