Specificity and Use

CD144 / VE Cadherin antibody was raised against recombinant human VE-cadherin (aa1-258).
aa1-258
Recognizes human VE-cadherin. Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption), an effect which mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2138 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues and a panel of mouse tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2138 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. Function: Interferes with VE-cadherin adhesion (reversible endothelium disruption). This effect mimics the transmigration of leukocytes or cancer cells through endothelium.
