Specificity and Use

PDI / P4HB antibody was raised against purified bovine liver Protein Disulfide Isomerase (PDI).
Recognizes purified bovine PDI protein. Detect an ~58kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of PDI on SDS-PAGE immunoblots. Species cross-reactivity: Human, mouse, rat, monkey, hamster, guinea pig, bovine, sheep, porcine, canine and Xenopus.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot (Colorimetric): 1:1000. Positive control: Purified Bovine PDI Protein.

Packaging

P4HB encodes the beta subunit of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a highly abundant multifunctional enzyme that belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. When present as a tetramer consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits, this enzyme is involved in hydroxylation of prolyl residues in preprocollagen. This enzyme is also a disulfide isomerase containing two thioredoxin domains that catalyze the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds.
