Specificity and Use

MRE11 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within human MRE11 (locus link ID 4361).
Specific for human meiotic recombination 11 (MRE11), also known as ATLD. MRE11 is a nuclear protein which is involved in homologous recombination, telomere length maintenance, and DNA double-strand break repair. MRE11 has 3 to 5 exonuclease activity and endonuclease activity. Mutations in this gene are associated with Ataxia telangiectasia-like disorder, which is characterized by hypersensitivity to ionizing radiation and defective checkpoint responses
