Specificity and Use

ENPEP / Aminopeptidase A antibody was raised against mouse ENPEP
The 6C3 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cell suspensions. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 ug per test. A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

Human aminopeptidase A is a cell surface differentiation-related glycoprotein of 160 kD expressed by epithelial cells of the glomerulus and proximal tubules of the human kidney and in the majority of renal cell carcinomas. Expression of aminopeptidase A by cultured renal cell carcinomas correlated with the resistance of these cells to the antiproliferative effects of alpha interferon.
